Camping Trip-Ch 1

Camping Trip- Zim`s P.O.V.
This is a sequel to "Return of the Shadow Hog"  

I was in my house making dinner for myself; I was in a short sleeved white blouse and my usual black pants and nothing else, with the exception of my wig and lens. I was putting the finishing touches on my shougayaki (grilled pork with ginger) I could now have thanks to Gaz, she gave me some of her antidote she invented when she first came to this planet, now I could eat whatever I wanted. There was a knock on the door and I reluctantly went to the door. When I opened the door I found Dib     
Zim: "oh hay Dib, what are you doing here"
Dib: "my dad is taking me and Gaz for a camping trip and he said I could bring a friend so what'd ya say?" I was a little surprised and confused why he would pick me to come, then again I was the closest thing Dib had to a friend
Zim: "um, why me exactly?"
Dib: "come on Zim there is no way I'm staying with my dad and my sister up one a boring mountain top somewhere for two weeks, you have to" he did have a point that didn`t exactly how I would want to spend the beginning of my summer break either
Zim: "well when you put it like that, okay" Dib jumped up for joy he looked so happy I couldn`t help but smile
Dib: "okay so were renting a cabin so you don`t have to pack much so see you tomorrow at about 9:00 oh and there`s a lake so bring a swimsuit, and what is that smell?"
Zim: "oh I was making shougayaki for dinner"
Dib: "you're making what now?"
Zim: "grilled pork with ginger" satisfied with an answer he walked off

So the next morning we all piled into the car and headed for a cabin in the woods, Membrane drove, Gaz rode in the passenger's seat  and me and Dib rode in the back,
Membrane: "so Zim, what country are you from again?"
Zim: "Japan" it took me a while to pick out a cover up country, but I finally picked Japan since it was the country most like Nihon, the planet I grew up on.
The ride was kind of awkward after that because no one wanted to talk, so I just strapped on my head phones and listen to some music to kill time, and it worked pretty well. Before I knew it the hour drive was over and we pulled up to what would be our house for the next two weeks it was a nice cabin stile house. I put my iPod and head phones back into my pak, got out of the car, and grabbed my luggage like everyone else was.

Membrane unlock the door and we all walked in
Membrane: "okay Gaz your room is first door on your right upstairs and Zim and Dib, your room is next to the bathroom
Zim: "wait a minute; Dib and I are sharing a room"
Membrane: "yeah what`s wrong with that"
Zim: "never mind" I was a little surprised that he didn`t know we were kind of enemies, but now that I think about it he always called me his little foreign friend me and Dib went upstairs to set up our room, Gaz did the same.
We walked in to the room and I had to say it was pretty big there were two beds on either side of the room plus two end tables I put my suit case next to the left bed after Dib took the right bed. After setting up me, Dib, and Gaz went outside to take a look as to what we have around the cabin, and there was a lot to do, these two weeks were going to be fun.
Zim: "so what are we going to do first" I said to Gaz, I was a little nervous to talk to Gaz, I like her a lot I didn`t want to mess it up with something stupid I said and knowing me that was very likely, so I didn`t talk to her much.
Gaz: "knowing dad, lunch" I laughed a little and as if on cue Membrane called us all for lunch, and to tell you the truth I was starting to get hungry too.  Inside we all sat down and had pizza, salad, and milk which was a pretty good lunch.

After lunch we all decided to get changed and try out the water in the lake, which I was a little nervous about, I never got to try out the paste out on dirty water like lake or ocean. I came out with a swim suit and water shirt, Dib came out with just  Of course Dib just jumped in the water off the dock not even thinking if the water was going to be freezing or not, I put one foot in, it was surprisingly warm, must be because of the time of day. So I took Dib`s lead and jumped in.
Dib: "so are you having fun yet?"
Zim: "yep" I said with a smile then Gaz walked up to the edge of the dock, she was wearing a purple and white two piece, she jumped in right next to me getting me even wetter than I was from my jump which made my hair droop when she surfeited she laughed
Gaz: "nice hair Zim didn`t know I drooped like that" I put the flop to the side and we had a splash war for a couple of minutes then Gaz ran back to the house and brought back balloons I got out and me and Dib started to fill them with water one they were all full we headed for the woods and we started a water balloon fight me and Gaz focused on Dib, and Dib was focused on hitting me, no one was really out to get Gaz, though Dib hit her a few times, Dib was chasing me through the woods I was looking back at him the whole time that I didn`t notice were I was going
Dib: "Zim lookout!!" it looked in front of me and stopped just in time too, because right in front of me was a 10 foot 20 drop to a small gorge to a dried up muddy river I took a sigh of relief, but I was right on the edge and the ground gave way I screamed as I tumbled down to the river's edge Dib ran up to the edge and carefully worked his way down.
Dib: "Zim! Zim are you okay?" that was a really dumb question, I looked at myself I was cover in mud and I had a gash on my right leg, it wasn`t bleeding too much, because if it was there would be green everywhere Gaz came down with a first aid kit and I rolled up my swimsuit so Dib could look at the whole cut he bandaged it without saying a word which made me even more nervous than I already was. When he was all done I tried to stand up I put pressure on the right leg and winced, but I pushed myself and crawled up the gorge, it took forever but I made it to the top.
Gaz: "the sun is already setting Dib, we have to get back to the house before dark or we`ll never find are way back" that was true we didn`t exactly know where the house was by heart and we were pretty far we could easily get lost
Dib: "get dad" Gaz ran in the direction of the house.
Dib: "dad`s going to take forever to get here" he looked down at me I had sat back down next to a tree, but the last thing I was expecting was for Dib to scoop me up, but that's what he did I felt like a damsel in distress the way he was carrying me, but I didn`t exactly care I just wrapped my arms around him and hoped he didn`t drop me.

We met Membrane half way to the house Dib was right he was slow but he helped me back to the house. I sat on the edge of the bathtub and washed all the mud off of me, went to my room and fell asleep, I this point I was tuckered out I didn't care for dinner.


Thunder cracked and smeet Zim screamed as he hid under a blanket only to be comforted by his mother
Kyoko: "it`s okay when you're scared just come to me I'll be here, I`ll always be here"
Smeet Zim: "promise" he wiped away some tears
Kyoko: "I promise" a sweet little smile came across his face but he heard a car crashing sound next thing he knew he was kneeling over a Japanese style grave tears came across his face "you promised"

My eyes shot opened as I woke up, I sat up and took a deep breath to calm myself down. I looked over at a sleeping Dib in the bed next to me
Zim: "haven`t had that dream in a while" I looked at myself I was still in my swim suit, not the best way to sleep so I decided to change I took off my clothes and put my pajamas on and went back to bed only to be disturbed by a loud crack of thunder, of all the times it had to thunder storm, it just had to be now, I put the blanket over my head and covered wear my ears would have been if I had them lightning flashed an even bigger crack of thunder was heard I squeaked in fear, I was deathly afraid of thunder it really was pathetic I looked over at Dib who was still sleeping peacefully don't know how exactly but I'm guessing Dib`s the kind of person who sleeps like a bomb couldn`t wake him up.
At the end of the storm I ended up under the bed curled up in a ball with the blanket wrapped around me like a jacket so I decided since I was already comfy and half asleep I would just sleep there until morning
